January, 1998 Dear Friends and Support Team, It's hard to believe that January is almost over! Here at the office it has been a month of prayer, planning, and reflection on the year ahead. God blessed us in '97 and we fervently desire to see the ministry continue to expand and minister to God's people. We want to be good stewards with the resources He has entrusted us with. Last year we came close to having 150,000 log-ons at our web site. We would like to see a modest increase to 175,000 for the year ahead. For the month of January we are averaging around 260 per day with about 2 and one half megabits being downloaded. If you are like me, these figures still boggle my mind. Pray for us as we decide which research projects to pursue. As you already know, it is our desire to only commit our time to what ideas are relevant. We seek primarily to answer questions that are being asked. We welcome your suggestions. Our President recently painted a rosy picture of this country's economy. The Dow is over 8000. Our citizens appear to be fat and happy. It is the best of times but it is also the worst of times. A good case could be made, we believe, for a new low in moral poverty. Pray that CIM will minister as never before to this need. The ministry of CIM has needs and we face some crucial decisions in the next several months. We will be keeping you posted. If you gave a gift to CIM in the month of December, the receipt is enclosed. January and February's receipts will be in the next mailing, in which we anticipate including our briefing on the Orthodox Church. Thanks for your support and prayers. For Christ and His Kingdom, Bill Crouse, President |
