I wanted to pass on a great witness of the power of the Holy Spirit during our march this year. My husband and I, along with our 4 blessings(children) attended our third MFJ this year in Moses Lake, WA. The route had changed a little from the previous years, but I truly believe it was ordained of God. If you are not familiar with the story, approximately 2 1/2 years ago, in Moses Lake, a 14 year old boy went into his junior high school algebra class and gunned down his teacher and three students, and held the others at gun point until a brave teacher was able to wrestle him to the ground, keeping him there until police arrived. Only one of the students shot survived. There has been great pain for the entire Columbia Basin area, only to be added to by the sad story that another young boy shot and killed his mother, younger sister, and himself not quite a year later, again in the Moses Lake area. This is a rural, mostly agricultural region, so to have such heinous crimes take place amongst the youth was a great shock. As we began to walk and sing, our family was overcome with spiritual emotion. This has always been the situation as we take our faith in Jesus to the streets. But this year was even more so, as we turned the corner passing by the junior high and the song "Peace be to these streets" was blasting. Little did we know until later that day that others in the march had the same experience; we were about brought to our knees by the power of the Holy Spirit, at that instant, on that street corner. I believe that much healing has taken place since that time, and I believe that as we continue to pray and take our faith to the streets, that He will bring peace. Make it so Lord Jesus! Thank you so much for being obedient to Christ in your call to proclaim Jesus to a lost world. We are blessed to teach our children about this. In Jesus, Deana Long
