Yeah, me too! In fact, it was absolutley the first time I had ever done
ANYTHING with the mixer. We had two of Integrity's worship leaders come
to our little church for a conference. One of them was going to lead
with his guitar but accompanied by trax for a fuller sound. My simple
job was to press the "start" and "stop" buttons on the tape deck when he
gave me the cue, or turn the volume up or down. Then I'd record the
teaching part later. Of course, I didn't know any of the stuff Bob
mentioned above; so in my panic I could do nothing but kill the mains
and wait for somebody with a clue to run over to the board while 250
people stared at me.
Of course, it HAD to happen the ONE time we had a "celebrity" and the
church was packed with visitors!
