I've heard people say that too, but a few weeks ago we (meaning our
Pastors) had a friend who is a worship leader at another church here in
town come and teach on worship (specifically prophetic worship). He
returned the following Sunday and led/taught worship. We spent 2 hours
singing and worshipping. No one was bored or complaining. Why? Because
God was there and because we understood the importance of what was
happening. Have you or your pastor taught on worship? With out proper
understanding people do not realize the importance of worship, so they do
not want to spend time on it. Does God inhabit your worship, or is it
merely a time of singing songs. Our times of worship often lead into
times of prayer ministry and prophetic words for people (This is what we
do besides sing or read scripture).
