[Worship] My review of Hillsongs latest album...

..."All Things are Possible"

At last, I have the album I've seen so many rave about in recent weeks.
ATAP is the third Hillsongs album I've bought, the others are "Shout 
to the Lord" and "God is in the House". STTL was unique for me in that
it grabbed me immediately but didn't lose it's impact with familiarity.
I find that I lose interest in many albums which I like on first hearing,
and the albums I really enjoy seem to require more effort. This was true of
GIITH.

So, what's my verdict on ATAP? Well, so far, I have to say that for most
of the songs--particularly those which are more devotional, like "Love You
So Much"--I was gripped the first time I heard them, and the familiarity
of listening to the album perhaps a dozen times over the last 5 days hasn't
tarnished my view. For the more brassy, upbeat numbers like "Can't Stop 
Talking" and "That's What the Love of God Can Do", I've needed to invest a
little more time, but I'm getting there. (just takes a bit more time for
these 39 year old ears to hear through all that noyz!)

The bottom line is that this is the album in my walkman, car, office (yes, 
I'm wired for sound at work too!) and at home. I can see our fellowship
taking up perhaps as many as 6 of the tracks to be sung regularly. (We're
still a little conservative for the brassy stuff--but you never know!)
I'm not yet able to rank this album--it's still too new, but it's certainly
up there with the best.

Christian Bookshop, I got mine from London Christian Life Centre. Call
