re:[Worship] Fasting (Was Re: Being a driver vs being a passenger)
Tony (et al),
When our fellowship undertook a 40 day juice and water fast, we
used several resources--two books in particular "The Coming Revival" by
Bill Bright and "God's Chosen Fast" by Arthur Wallis--and some stuff from
the 'net. More info, and some practical and spiritual guidelines from
Bill Bright are at:
http://www.ccci.org/7steps/
http://www.ccci.org/coming-revival/
There were also some other useful documents at Wes Campbell's site at
www.revivalnow.com. There's a link off the home page for "Prayer and Fasting"
which can get you to some useful articles. To get them directly, go to
http://www.revivalnow.com/fastsum.htm
http://www.revivalnow.com/mdreport.htm
These articles concentrate more on the no-holds-barred fasting--21 and 40
day stuff, but much of the material applies to shorter fasts too.
Hope that helps...
Love in Jesus,
Jeff
