Re: [Worship] vocal training?

Hi Cynthia

When I said that out of tune singers should be spoken to honestly, I
certainly didn't mean to imply that the problem shouldn't be corrected if
possible. That's always the first choice. However, if the problem isn't
fixable, encouraging them to find another area of service is, IMO, the next
best option.

Glad you found your voice.

Hi K. Myers,

first off I would like to say that I am glad that God helped me to discover my
voice in time and diligence.

Thank you for making the clarification about the talking to folks being a last
resort. You see it is just that I see so many willing to judge others so
quickly in so many area of worship and life in general... I will keep it to the
worship topic here. What is worship and how can we know that those around us
are entering in (specifically into Praise and Worship times of singing,
dancing, praying, etc.). Well, I know that the first part of this has been
discussed at length. I would like to concentrate on the second part for just a
moment. Long enough to say that we really can not know if those around us are
entering into worship, they may be standing still as a rail and be entered more
deeply than the person two rows up that is dancing before the Lord. The only
person in worshipping the Lord that we are or should be responsible about
actions is ourselves! If we each keep our eyes focused wholly on the Lord then
He will draw each of us in a way that we are able to respond... and I can tell
you for sure that no two will respond exactly alike. It is the life experiences
and our previous worship experiences that shape how we react to God today. He
is waiting for us to draw near to Him. Thank you for all the folks on this list
that share with such love and grace! Blessings to all!!
