[Worship] Worship Schedule
Hello everybody,
I've been reading these for a long time but this is my first time to ever
respond. Karen, my church does a rotating schedule. This is in order that
we don't wear people out. You've got to keep such things in mind when you
work with volunteers. At first thought this might seem kind of scary, but
don't worry, if God has ordained that your church have an effective music
ministry, which He definately has, because that effectiveness is what He is
about, He'll take care of having the right people there at the right times.
At my church we have lots of teens involved with the worship team; college
students too. I would fit the latter catagory because I'm a senior at Oral
Roberts University. Don't be afraid to involve the students. It is so
awesome to nurture worship leaders in that age-group. I've watched as many
kids just take off with the Lord as you let them explore worship... Gee that
sounds like a book title or something... Don't worry necessarily about the
voice qualities. God WILL take care of that. He's always building for
long-term. In my church we are enjoying the fruits of several years of
patience. Now we are seeing some of these kids even writing new songs to
the Lord. Wow! God bless you in your adventure with Him.
Dan.
