Folks,
This is Kim Gentes. I just wanted to let you know
of an addition we have made to the Worship Resource
Center web site. The feature, called "worship Quote
of the Week" (by Chip Stam) has grown and become
an entity with it's own listserve and web site. As
well, we have developed our own additional segment
for worship thoughts published on the web on a regular
basis. We have wanted to publish our own worship thought
on a daily basis, but didn't want to conflict with the
great job that Chip was doing with the Worship Quote
of the Week. After talking to Chip and implementing
a new interface on the Quote segment, we have been
able to come up with a great solution (we think!).
The Worship Quote will retain the weekly editted
quote from Chip's official "Worship quote of the
Week", however, the Worship Resource Center
worship quote area will now become daily.
Once a week (one of those 7 days) you will still
get your regular quote from Chip. The rest
of the days we will provide a editted worship
thought (not necessarily a quote, it might an
editorial note or Scripture or the like). The
new segment is currently still called "Worship
Quote", but we will be looking for a new name
that includes the "Daily" idea.
Also the new interface is automated, allowing us
to have a searchable database of worship thoughts,
with the last months thoughts being available for
immediate indexing on the web site. The current
day's worship thought, is featured as well.
The new "worship thoughts" will be focused
on musical and contemporary issues of worship,
while retaining the wealth of rishness and
tradition that Chip brings us once a week.
For example, October 29's worship
thought was a quote from Kevin Prosch
and his newletter "The Cry". Oct 30,
was a direct quote from one of our web
travellers with an insight on worship.
And Oct 31 is a quote from the worship song
"At The Cross".
Please feel free to check out the worship
quote area (it will be changed to the new
name once we figure out what the new name
will be- suggestions welcome) and even
submit your own suggestion for a worship
thought, be it your original thought or
something you have heard from others (having
a traceable reference is most desireable
so we can do copyright clearance - we
will only publish worship thoughts that
have been cleared by their publishers for
doing so).
Anyhow the worship thoughts page is at :

Check it out..
Blessings..
Kim
