Beth, this is basically a question within a reply if you would like to call it that.  I am 22 years old and a worship leader at a non-denominational church.  I am a claically traned musician in the vocal area as well, and I understand the importance of the history of music.  You know haw music get its foundation from the original church modes and then goes on from there.  In fact music existed solely, in the beginning as a form of worship.  Is'nt that interesting.  I agree that music in any form has an importandt message as long as it glorifies and uplifts God.

My question to you and anyone else who can help is:

What do you do when you voice instructor is speaking against what you are doing.  I love God with all that is in me and I want to serve him in all my capacity.  I am a worship leader, that is what God has called me to be among other evangelical ministry.  I have been having vocal problems since I have been attending college.  I cannot understand why.  Don't get me wrong, I have been able to lead ther worship team, but when I come to my lessons every now and then my teacher just gets very upset and mentions things like,"are they paying you for this abuse."  I want to respect my teacher, she is a great woman, but God is the most important thing.  If you have an encouraging teastimony for me or can possiblt explain why I have been having so much trouble with my voice now I would really appreciate it.  An
interesting comment is that I tend to lose my voice when something important comes up.  I am a personwho lives by faith and belives whole-heartedly that God heals.  I am just sick and tired of the devil coming in and messing with my anointing..
