Sounds like your children need something to do. Either bring something
to occupy them, ask for some help from some of your members who might be
glad to be a part of the "team" by baby-sitting (although these don't
sound like babies). Maybe some discipline is necessary for your kids.
Our rehearsals are usually during Wednesday night Bible class time, so
our kids are in class. When we have rehearsals on Saturdays or other
times, children sometimes come and they are expected to stay with us or
to behave responsibly if elsewhere in the building.
Some public comment may be necessary if there is truly a bitterness that
has become evident publicly. A private humble apology to those who have
been inconvenienced and a sincere pledge to more closely supervise your
kids would be in order.
Satan will work in any way possible to bring division, and big splits
often begin over seemingly insignificant petty beginnings. Give him no
foothold.
