[Worship] Angels singing
Hello all,
Back around 1993, I believe I heard the voices of hundreds and hundreds of
angels singing worship with us for about 15 - 20 seconds. I will never
forget it. We were in a small church of about 40 adults. It was a night
service. The worship was... sorry, I can't find the words to describe it.
Anyway, the voices came without warning. Although I didn't actually see
anything with my eyes, I just felt that they were gathered high above us in
a semi circle behind the worship team. The voices sounded male and female,
layered upon each other in an amazing way from the lowest of registers up
to the highest of registers. None of the voices sounded rough or screachy.
The voices were smooth and blended. It was nothing much like a human choir.
Sadly, no one else heard it but me.
Then a few years later, Keith and I were laying in bed talking. Some where
between 10pm and 10.15pm, Keith suddenly stopped talking. He said "Listen!
Can you hear the singing?" I didn't hear a thing. He said he could hear
angels singing and was amazed that I couldn't hear anything but the silence
of the night. After a few minutes, the singing stopped. The next morning,
we were heart broken to learn that a lady from our church died just after
the end of the midweek fellowship meeting. She passed away at 10.10pm the
previous night... the same time Keith heard the angels singing.
I've been reading the Grantley Morris book "In Tune With God. The Quest For
Music Miracles." on line. There is a chapter devoted to this very
phenomenon. It has made me wonder if any others have heard angels singing
during worship.
