[Worship] Worship in the den of the ennemy

Hi List,

 

June 24th is the national holiday of the french-speaking Canadian (Fête des Québécois).  What was

a patriotic holiday has become an excuse for violence and vandalism.  Over 100 people arrested and

about 1 000 000 $ damage in the past two years.  Riot is the term used here. 

 

There is always a big show with well know artists in a huge parc (which is the battlefield where the French lost the war against Brittain some years ago).  The crowd expected is around 100 000.  The show starts at 9:00 pm tonight and ends at 4:00 am tomorrow.

 

Tonight the church band we will be playing on that same battlefield from 6:00 to 9:00.  We were

suppose to play last sunday night but it was posponed because of the weather.  God had a plan. 

When He opens the doors... HE OPENS THEM...  We wanted to spiritually claim that ground.  But

instead of claiming it before a few dozen we will claim it before a few thousand.  We are not too sure

what to expect.  Would you pray for us.  We want the people to be drunk not of beer or wine but by the Spirit.  Pray for the work of God in the hearts of people and pray for us that we will be able to stand up

and be courageous soldiers for Him.
