Interesting you should write this right now Joe. Actually, it's of
the Lord :) I recently found myself out of a paid, partime position of
Minister of Music & Worship --long story--. But, I stayed at the church
for over 4 months because I didn't feel "released" by God from that
position and because I wanted to provide some support for the people who
were left behind hurting. However, it seemed after a time that they
were not going to get on with their lives until I got on with mine and I
had to realize that I could only be responsible for my own life and not
theirs. So our family finally gave it up and left. Now both our family
and hopefully the people left behind are getting on with our respective
lives and I don't feel guilty.
