I am the guilty party for that post you quoted about making "sturdier ones" out of-well, you know the one I mean.  I'm pretty sure I wrote "rain sticks" in the subject line as the objects I was talking about making, but maybe that doesn't translate in the digest version?  As you pointed out, I guess the text could have been clarified better.  By all means, make sturdier rain sticks and do not pound nails into children or anything else.  Sorry!
