[Worship] Inversion Chords
Inversion chords are chords like C/D where you play a C chord with a D
bass. At least I think that's what they are called. I'll gladly learn the
correct term. Anyway, here's a question:
How is the best way to play them on guitar and piano when with a band?
On piano do you play the bass note 16 steps lower than middle C if it's a C
bass? This seems to work. What about playing it one octave below the chord
itself? This would seem to muddy it up against the bass player.
On the guitar does anyone play the bass note on these chords? I do and they
seem to work well and sound well along with the bass. That's what got me
wondering why does this same bass note sound muddy on the piano but not on
the guitar? Is it only because there's a better choice on the piano?
