Re: [Worship] secular and christian music



This may sound strange but I agree with your husband.  A lot of "it" is
lyrically simplistic and does not make me think.  I could also say that
about non-christian music. Some music labeld christian music is not even
good theology and therefore not Christian with a capital C. As others have
posted there is  well written and  challenging and Christian music but just
because the music is labled christian does not make it well written or
challenging much less well written and challenging. If you husband is being
honest and not hiding from God (or as I have heard it called "running
rabbits"), if he defnes the "duck" (what it would look like , what it would
talk about,  how it would musically "walk") for which he is looking, you can
show him at least as many examples in Christian music as there are in other
forms.
