[Worship] Worship in the park, streets, etc.
Hi worshippers!
Last year a handful of us Christian musicians
came together and brought worship to the streets in our town and it was
a glorious time. This year I got really sick and couldn't get
a big group together like last year. But the Lord put it
on my heart to 'take smaller steps' and just grab a guitar,
a fellow worshipper/musician and head to parks, resting areas,
and anywhere else we can sing.
It's been cool! My friend and I have been playing our guitars and singing
at this high 'lookout' resting area, with a gorgeous view of the snow
capped mountains and the bay. Folks from all over the world come to Alaska
in the summer and we've had the chance to greet tourists with the presence
of the Lord as they come in to the lookout to rest and take in the view.
It's been interesting watching their responses. They mostly look at us
in bewilderment then turn away. But you know what? I'll never forget what
Matt McCoy from one of the San Diego Vineyards said at a conference, "We
never counted how many people got saved at our worship evangelism endeavors,
as long as God was worshipped we were successful!"
I'll keep you appraised of our adventures here, and I hope you have a blessed
summer,too!
