Thanx for reacting on my message of a day ago about street evangelism with a
worshipteam. Yes, it's clear that we will not try to bring the streets in
worship, but you and i know that worship which is led by the holy spirit is
very very very powerful and can change people's life's also on the streets.
And because of the fact that worshipleaders and other members of the team
are very (or ought to be) sensitive for Gods Holy Spirit, I think we all can
conclude that it's the right thing to do, going on the streets with music
led by the Spirit instead of staying at home listening to worship cd's and
have our own worshipmeeting while hundreds or thousands of people go to
hell.
Do not get me wrong here. Listening to worshipmusic is great, but I know
that it can fill our time so much, and take over our calenders etc. and only
one mile away someone is in need and cries for help.
This week I heard my co-leader saying to me. Edwin, evangelism is not only
to be on the streets and see people come to Jesus, it's also a protection
for ourselves (Eph 6) When we put on the garment, we also put on the shoes
to be willing to go out and preach. So it's a protection for ourselves also
because we will stay spiritually awake.
Ours worshipteam needs the holy spirit in a clear and powerful way.
We pray for it, we seek His face and we conclude that worship reaches
further  than our churchwalls.  Let's praise Him for the possibility we can
still go on the streets and show people Gods love.
