Dannie,
	We set the guitar amp up off to the side of the platform so the sound was
directed across the platform from right to left  instead of from the rear of
the platform where it would project (spill) out into the congregation.
Wedge refers to our floor wedge monitor. Since it sits in front of the
musician and angles toward the back of the platform it limits the spill
there too.

you place it to avoid feedback from other mics, etc.   And by "wedge" to
