[Worship] Re: Worship & Whistles

WHOOOOOOOPS! Hit the wrong key combo and sent a non-edited mess to all of
you. So very sorry. Here is what it was SUPPOSED to be!

My dear Sister Wacko and Sister (Cuzzin?) Renee,

Are we guilty of box building? Hoo baby baby are we ever! My only real
comment on this thing is still that of labels. Worship, as a rule, at least
by many folks, IS a little more reserved. We've used the word "intimacy" a
lot on this list when we talk about worship. And that is Worship as opposed
to Praise. It is hard to think about blowing a whistle or giving a war whoop
when you're on your face in awe at the King of the Universe.

Now then, let me say something about whistles in PRAISE:
HAVE AT IT!!!!! Virtually no holds barred in praise. I have a couple
of favorite places to go visit when I really need an all-out blast of
uninhibited praise. There is a church in Independence MO where the music is
just fine, not too loud, not too soft, but, yes, baby Bear, JUUUUUUUST RIGHT.
Great attitude of praise there. When that crew gets going, you look to find
out who scored the touchdown! In this football crazy town, there is at least
one church that cheers louder and longer for Jesus than they do for the
Chiefs! Hoot and holler, whistle and stomp, grin and giggle and sing their
lungs out, too! And they minister just as fervently. And they listen to the
word just as fervently. And when it is time to really get into the throneroom
and on their faces before the King, that's where they are.

Just my 2¢ worth.
