[Worship] Re: Organizing Transparencies
Hi -
Thought I'd throw in our ideas . . .we, also use filing boxes
(Rubbermaid, or just cardboard banker's boxes) to keep our
transparencies in. BUT - we keep a number filing system instead of
doing them alphabetically.
I've found that by filing songs alphabetically, you get confused because
many songs have "sub titles" and whoever might be running the overheads
may be confused as to which title you use. . . also, the "articles" . .
."A", "AN", "THE", etc . . . . Let's say I kick off "The Lord Reigns" .
. .your people need to know if they look in the "T" or the "L" folders,
etc.
With ours, I keep the songs in a database, and everytime I add a new
song, it automatically gives it a new file number. About once a month,
I print out a new Master Songlist that has the Song Titles listed
alphabetically, and the Filing Code right beside it.
PRAISE GOD, though - we are getting ready to be done with overheads, as
we are getting a new projection system . . .I just got the OK to order a
new PowerBook G3 laptop to run them!
Blessings,
