Re: [Worship] The difference between Praise and Worship

I have come to believe that worship is a bending or bowing or humbling of
the will or self in service. Worship by it's very nature is other centered.
How I feel and what I think is beside the point. In worship God is the
receiver and I am the giver. God is the audience and I am the performer. The
primary question in worship is God's attitude or acceptance. How I feel is
beside the point. How anyone feels is beside the point. How God feels is the
point.

While I have not studied praise as extensively, I presently believe that
praise is the expression of gratitude, wonder or admiration. While praise
may be a form of worship it typically focuses on what God has done, directly
or indirectly, for the one praising or what God is in relationship to the
praiser. Praise is about God's personal qualities or activities. The primary
typical question in praise is what has God done. It is about God but not
necessarily to or with God.

Well that should start a discussion or three.
