Forgive me for the length of this :-)......

I couldn't help but respond to David's thread about KP. KP had become
one of the most anointed worship pace setters anywhere. His music,
style, freedom and message was on the cutting edge. Men like KP fall
because they are expanding and enhancing the kingdom. You become a
major threat to the enemy, and a very large target on the devil's hit
list.. When you make a difference in your sphere of influence...the
devil will make sure there is a demon or several demons assigned to your
case. KP's was demon was probably a Jezebel spirit or
withcraft-controlling spirit working to set him up for the kill. The end
result of satan's plot was obviously to stop him from impacting the music
world.

It is the same spirit that worked against our President to bring him
down. When you are really being used of God, or in a place of power and
authority.....the greater the demonic forces and influences launched
against you. None of us can imagine how monstrous the satanic attacks
against President Clinton must be. However, it's easy to sit back and
judge and even criticize him. That is why the Bible commands us to pray
for those in authority.

Not having enough intercessors praying for you is very dangerous. In
regards to praying for KP, I must admit, I should have been praying for
his safety and protection over the last two years while he ministered.
We all must have prayer covering. The greater the task we're involved in
the more intercession we need. Any of us can fall, especially when we
are under attack by powers and principalities assigned to bring us down.
The devil doesn't know all about us, but he does know human weakness.
He knows where to attack.

KP's first step of blessing came with the confession, this begins the
restoration. When he recovers and returns it will be with a greater
anointing. He will also have learned many valuable lessons.

Dave your comments, "did KP repent or was he caught" I don't believe is
the question. The bottom line is, the devil succeeded in bringing his
ministry to a halt. That should shake us all up and cause us to examine
our own lives to see if there is a crack in our armor. What areas are we
weak? Do we have enough prayer covering? What secret sins are we toying
with?

KP's music influence will continue to affect worship for some time to
come. We can only hope that self-righteous & judgmental voices will not
try to discredit all the good things he has done because of his
entrapment by the enemy. (Or store owners pulling his CD's off the
shelves) I believe the greatest sin would be if he fails to return to
the calling and anointing that is on his life. Let us pray, "God give
him the courage to pick up the pieces and start over."

As far as saying "not allowing him to lead (worship) for many years,"
I think leans more to law than grace. One of the best examples on
failure and "how soon" some one can return to ministry is found in the
life of Apostle Peter. He lied, swore and denied that he even knew
Jesus. (I don't think KP has denied knowing Jesus) In the scripture,
Peter went out and wept bitterly after the "exposure"--caught first,
repented second-- Three days later he was with the rest of the church.
And 50 days later Peter preached one of the most powerful sermons in the
New Testament. (Day of Pentecost)

There is nothing to indicate that Peter was excommunicated from the body
or even asked not to hang out with them. As a matter of fact, he still
kept his position as an Apostle. (Most churches today yank the
credentials first so you can't do anything religious...and suggest you
move out of town.) ha.

When we repent, we are just as saved & forgiven as the person who has
never fallen. God never holds our sin against us, only we do that. I'm
sure that KP is probably weeping bitterly and may even be in deep
depression. If he has truly repented, (and I believe he has) God has
forgiven him, the Christian community must do the same....... without
hesitation....unconditionally. In 50 days, like Peter, KP is more than
welcome to lead worship at my church....or preach his greatest sermon
ever!

I love him and trust that he gets the best godly counsel available from
those closest to him.

Grace for the fallen,
