[Worship] Colorado massacre

Dear Christians--

   The recent Colorado massacre and now the Canadian shooting is a 
wake-up call not only to society at large, but to the Body of Christ.
This is a prime opportunity for us to minister to those who are 
hurting, and to interceed on behalf of the victim's families and the
communities involved. We as Christian musicians and worship leaders
need to direct our efforts toward using our gifts to REACH and INVOLVE
childrena and youth in our churches and fellowships.
   Can we do less than the Christian martyrs of Columbine high school?
We need to involve children and youth AT ALL LEVELS of ministry and
service, and stop finding excuses to exclude them from what we do!
There are COUNTLESS ways to have young people serve, and we benefit
from having the blessing of hearing young voices proclaim God's glory.
    Had the two high-school terrorists been reached by the Church, we
would have more folks rejoicing instead of facing full caskets, 
burying the fruit of their bodies.

Everybody's worship team, choir, praise band, or other music ministry
should consider sending some kind of card, message, etc. Jubilate
Choir (my group of choristers) will be sending an enlarged poster of
the choir, with messages written by the choir members. Similar 
projects could be done by everyone on this list serv.
    Feel free to pass the word along and send this e-mail to churches,
messianic synagogues, etc. 
    Let's concentrate our energies on ministering to the hurting
souls who so desparately need our prayers and encouragement now!
