Well, reading these experiences has made me feel better.  Last
Sunday I was leading worship but I also play flute sometimes. So
I started into a flute instrumental and had it in my head the
what I was going to play was in the key of D.  So I started,
and....you can probably guess.  I couldn't figure out what was
going on.  I looked down at the chord sheet and then I
realized....we were in C!!!!  But I was stuck.  I couldn't find
my way out....I hit a few right notes but could never land until
we got to the end (thank goodness it was fairly short), then I
decided to start again, so I played it again in the right key!!!!

It was very embarrassing, but I ended up laughing about it with
my team.  I apologized to them...they all said, yeah we knew
something was wrong and they all said they started to play louder
or add extra fills to help out.  

I was teasing with them saying I was just playing my flute in
tongues, then my keyboard player said, yeah, then you interpreted
it!  The guitar player said it was "artsy"!

So anyway, it's a humbling experience, and probably one to learn
from. 
If we don't start out right, it's easy to get caught in something
and not be able to find your way out.
