RE: [Worship] Worship Poem: "Joyful, Joyful"



Bill and Ryan et al.:

One correction. Schiller's poem, which is in German and was what Beethoven
used as his text, is *nothing* like the English hymn text ("Joyful, joyful")
reproduced in an earlier post.

The Schiller poem is in no way a hymn nor does it give praise to God. The
only thing these two texts share is Beethoven's marvelous melody.
