Lois,
You're getting some good feedback on the scriptural basis for this song. I
think it's a great idea to incorporate the reading of scripture that
supports a song into your worship time - either by the leader or by the
congregation during a brief musical interlude leading into the song. Even
scripture itself at times seems inappropriate if it is out of context, so
use your music and the scripture together to direct people's thoughts. For
example, this past Sunday morning Stephen read Romans 12:1-2 in between "We
Bring the Sacrifice of Praise" and "We Are an Offering."
