Subjectively, many people after playing them prefer them over Martins,
Gibsons,
and Guilds. Your friend should look at the difference between the 310 CE
and the 310. The factory installed Fishman electronics are very very nice.

BTW you want to get one that has the new neck construction technology.

There are other nice solid wood construction guitars out there, but
my personal preference is a Taylor.
