I resemble that remark! I have owned my Taylor 710-C for 8 years. It is my 
working guitar. I certainly agree about the extra plastic in the side. I 
bought mine without electronics and put the Fishman Acoustic Matrix in 
natural in it. I am constantly getting complimented on the sound. Forget the 
mike inside. Trust me on this.
