This is my first message, but this is very interesting topic, but I have
heard a very special evangelist, use wind beneath my wings, and describe it
as Gods, love was her wind.  And it was beautiful.  I'd have to agree with
the original author of this letter, and as the lord says, and excuse me for
paraphrasing, "these honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far
from me",  remember always, worship is a "heart issue"

Dear Brother -

I really think you are being sincere, so don't take this as a slam.  It is
our job as worship leaders to lead songs that are glorifying God and
accurate.  I have seen "wind beneath my wings" and "thank God for unanswered
prayers" by Garth Brooks used in worship.  These songs have about as much to
do with glorifying God as a Metalica song.

I liken this to a pastor using the Jahova Witness bible and reading "In the
begining was the word, the word was with God, and the word as A god."  The
meaning is different.  It is also like singing a song about being "gay"  It
has a different meaning now than it did twenty years ago.

I have struggleds with songs that I really didn't feel were biblically
correct or are hard to understand even if they are biblical.  We have had
songs that are straight out ofthe bible and people have complainedthat they
were not correct.  It was not that they were not biblical, but that they
were fragmented with a little artistic license thrown in.  Study every song
you do.  Correct lines if they are not biblical.  Post your corrections here
so that we all may benefit.
