I had thre same problem before I switched to an acoustic electric Guild.
I solved it with an acoustic guitar stomp box from musicians friend.  It
gave 
greta added depth and really cut the brittleness.

I am looking for a pickup system that can accurately represent the 
organic "acoustic" sound (for lack of a better term) of an acoustic 
guitar. I am frustrated with my Fishman bridge pickup and a Sunrise 
pickup I recently tried. They sound too brittle and electric. Any 
recomendations?

Can anyone vouch for the Fishman Blender system that uses a mike in the 
guitar itself? Does feedback issues make this non-practical?
