I am looking for a pickup system that can accurately represent the
organic "acoustic" sound (for lack of a better term) of an acoustic
guitar. I am frustrated with my Fishman bridge pickup and a Sunrise
pickup I recently tried. They sound too brittle and electric. Any
recommendations?
Can anyone vouch for the Fishman Blender system that uses a mike in the
guitar itself? Does feedback issues make this non-practical?
Thanks,

Phil,
If you can get the opportunity to find a Roland AD5 box to try out at your
local upper end music/guitar center, you might find that you can live with
your existing "condition." I have a fishman goldline in one of my guitars, &
had it in 2 others with better results once I got ahold of the Roland box.
They have the AD3 as well, but I liked the features of the 5 series better.
I also have the blender system on my latest guitar, & like it well enough to
recommend it to others (although I must say that I don't use it in a high spl
environment). However, the AD5 gives you chorus, reverb, 2 types of pickups,
a mike placement feature, as well as subbing for a high-end direct box
If you get to check one out, let me know what you think!
Dennis
