Hi Linda,
    I love the book, Exploring Worship, and have yet to find any book as 
comprehensive on the subject.  As for being created TO worship, if anything, 
rather than being egotistical, it is rather humbling to think that the God 
who created the vastness of this universe that we can see, (and as a science 
teacher, the more I delve into the mysteries of the universe, the more 
awe-struck I am) and the spirit world that we cannot see should create me to 
worship Him is almost too much to bear.  I can hardly fathom that this great 
and holy Lord should consider me at all!  "Oh Lord, our Lord, how excellent 
is Thy name in all the earth!  When I consider Thy heavens the works of Thy 
fingers, the moon and the stars that Thou has ordained.  What is man that 
Thou art mindful of him, or the son of man that Thou considerest him?"  Even 
in the Old Testament, it was a wonder to think that God even thinks about us, 
let alone caring for our every need, and allowing us to worship at His feet 
and be in His presence!  Perhaps if you present it to your friend this way, 
she will understand...
