RE: [Worship] A CCLI Question

>We know what the law says about CCLI. We need to follow it. One

I never said that people should go against the law. I simply stated
that it seems a bit ridiculous to require a ccli number on every
single slide. I also stated that as a Christian I would have a major
moral objection to suing a church because they didn't show their ccli
number enough times. My third major point was that of copyrighting
Bible scripture. The scriptures have been around for a very long
time. They have been used, mis-used, and abused by people since they
were given to us. An addition of a copyright statement will not stop
the abuse that they are given. Much like outlawing guns all-together
will never stop the violence that is produced with them. The 1611 KJV
seems to have survived over the years without a copyright. (I am not
a KJV only believer) God has been able to protect what has been His
for a very long time....without our copyrights. I never advocated
breaking the law. I simply stated my feelings that some of those laws
are in vain. What will we do, God forbid, if the law ever requires us
to do something against the will of God? Don't get me wrong...the law
is important. My only reasoning in making the statements that I made
is that we must be careful not to idolize law.
