[Worship] New Songwriting and Recording Forum

Hi Folks,

I am wanting to let everybody know that I have launched a free website that
is specific to songwriting and home recording for praise and worship
http://psalm149.com .

The best feature of this site that will set it apart is the internet
collaborations. That is: I have a song that needs a drummer, I post needing
a drummer and a drummer will download my tracks from the web and add drums
to them. Another example would be I have lyrics, but need someone to do an
arrangment or I have lyrics and an arrangment, but I need somebody to sing
it.

I am so burned out on commercialized worship that I established this for
people to share their own. This is not a hosting site like Mp3.com, but a
place to make music. Home Recording can be real simple if you know how, if
you don't know but want to record your stuff to share or make CDs then we
can help. I spent 3 years apart of a secular site that has nearly 3000
members and I oversaw the collab projects and was a global moderator. But I
was always uncomfortable singing the Lord's songs in a strange land. (Psalm
137:4) though I did do some songs of witness and testimony.

On the News board there is info on a free worship CD drawing every month and
there are currently a couple of collab projects being done now.

This is all new to most of the new members so I am currently helping
everybody get over the learning curve. I have worked on collab project with
people from South Africa, Bulgaria, Canada, Germany and Australia, in
addition to folks all over the US. The internet makes the world a small
place and not only do you get to work with musicians who think a bit
differently (out of the commercialized norm) but you make friends world
wide. The best part is the relationships and the fun of taking a song that
just doesn't exist and taking it from lyrics, to arrangment, to recording
and then sharing. And the biggest blessing is when somebody from Bulgaria or
elsewhere says they want to do your song in their church!

Again this is a free site, and probably worth noting no pop-up/pop-under
ads.

Thank you for your time,
Jim Goodman
