We have an opening for a youth pastor in Fergus Falls, MN.  Our church is a
Nazarene church, but we are very broad in our backgrounds as a congregation.
Our youth are a great group of kids who genuinely have a desire to go
deeper. (Something I wish the congregation could grab hold of sometimes.)
They are huge when it comes to worship, prayer and digging in.  They are
prayer warriors and mission minded.  We worship 350-400 a Sunday and the
active youth number about 40 – 50 on average.  There is a total of about 80
youth in the church or have parents that attend the church.  We have a
number of youth from other churches that also attend our youth meetings.  I
often go upstairs to watch the youth worship and to see them pouring
themselves out is so awesome. It is not uncommon to see a number of the
youth kneeling or bowing on the floor as they worship.  These kids are
something.  A good number of them have gone on mission trips or have done
mission projects within our community.  They are only here for one reason –
to glorify God.

Our youth center is an awesome space.  We have a pool table, ping-pong
tables, air hockey, foosball, a sound system, showers, a full kitchen, a
nice office for the youth pastor, and a church that is dedicated to doing
what it takes for the growth of our youth.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated in their personal walk with
Christ and has a passion for youth.  They should be personally motivated and
accountable.  They should have credentials or be willing to become a pastor
within the next few years so that they can have an associate role.  They
need to be a team player and also able to organize a team of lay leaders to
help in youth ministry.  We are putting together an informational package
with a DVD and information about our church, youth and community.
