Hi Greg,

Check out the Alesis SR-16. I think it might provide just what
you are looking for. I have one and I use it with a foot pedal in
conjunction with my guitar to start/stop songs I have put together and
go between A/B loops and their adjacent fills or fills from other loops
I have put together. You can mix and match and it all retains its own
tempo you have set it on. Check out musicians friend.com or your
favorite instrument www sight.

Oh, and buy the way, here is the disclaimer: I am not
affiliated in any way with Alesis or Musicians Friend.

I'm interested in a drum machine primarily for live use.

I specifically need a machine that will allow me to change drum patterns

via a midi foot controller.

I want to have different loops set up for different
sections of a song so that I might be able to say have a half beat on
verses and full beat on choruses.

I originally purchased a Boss DR-670 but while it had great sounds, it
only
allowed me to change drum sounds, not patterns via the midi controller.
Furthermore, it wouldn't save tempos with the loops (it only saves
tempos
with songs).

If anyone has any suggestions for a worship leader who often has to lead

contemporary worship without a drummer, please send them my way.

Thanks,

Greg
