Hi Debbi,
Yes! We are servants of the Most High God, but you seem to miss the point that Michael was making about his and Steve's responsibility to their employer. This is our first responsibility, especially if the boss is a non-christian or our co-workers are. We are servants of the Most High God on our jobs as well! If Steve was at some point fired for doing church on the job time, I am sure the pastor would be first to let him know that what he was doing was not right. He should be doing what he is paid to do. God never expects us to abandon our responsibilities to our 'masters', but to give to them the respect due, by giving an honest day's work for an honest day's pay.I'm afraid, Michael was right on this one. Pastors need to be more sensitive in situations like this and practice what they preach.

Are we "employees" or servants of the Most High God? Part of being
a
servant is that we may be inconvenienced and taken out of our self and what
makes us comfortable and put into situations that stretch us.
Jesus is always there for me at a moment's notice - I want to be the same
for Him!!!
